Tom Hiddleston to return as Loki in Benedict Cumberbatch’s ‘Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness’? – Times of India

Tom Hiddleston’s character Loki may just be on his way back to the MCU, and according to the latest buzz, he will feature in Benedict Cumberbatch’s ‘Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness’.

Following the events of the hit series ‘Loki’, reports state that Tom will have a role to play in the upcoming ‘Doctor Strange’ sequel that is also set to star Elizabeth Olsen will be returning as Scarlet Witch after her Emmy nominated run in ‘WandaVision’. However, it is unclear whether Olsen will play friend or Sorcerer Supreme in the film that will set up the stage for future Marvel movies.

Before he can take on the Multiverse of Madness, Cumberbatch will join Tom Holland for the highly anticipated film, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’. Although Marvel bosses have been tightlipped about the plot of the film, it is rumoured that the third spiderman film will open the multiverse and will have Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield returning as their Spider-Man characters.


Tom’s series also played as a forerunner to introduce the famed villain – Kang the Conquerer, who is set to appear in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ in February 2023.

Meanwhile, it was also confirmed today that the Hiddleston-lead ‘Loki’ series will be back for a second season.
