Vivo X500 Series will launch in China on September 21
The Vivo X500 Series will be unveiled in China on September 21. The series is expected to arrive in the market with three models: Vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max. According to leaks, the Vivo X500 series could launch in India in October. However, the company has not yet officially confirmed the India launch date.
The new series has been designed especially for mobile photography and videography. The company has included several advanced camera features, keeping professional creators and content makers in mind.
MediaTek’s new flagship chipset will be unveiled on September 15
Before the Vivo X500 series launch, MediaTek will unveil its new flagship chipset on September 15. The company has shared details about the event through social media. The teaser hints at a “Pro” processor, leading to speculation that the company could introduce the Dimensity 9600 Pro. This chipset could feature higher clock speeds compared with the standard Dimensity 9600.
Vivo has already confirmed that the X500 series will use MediaTek’s next-generation flagship chipsets. Therefore, the Vivo X500 and X500 Pro are expected to feature processors such as the Dimensity 9600 and Dimensity 9600 Pro.
Vivo X500 Series will get a major camera upgrade
Vivo has shared several important details about the camera features of the X500 series. According to the company, the series will feature a BluePrint LightGuard 900 primary camera system developed in collaboration with Sony.
The camera system will use ZEISS T* coating and optics, which are designed to reduce unwanted reflections and flare in photos and videos. The sensor can support up to 17 EV dynamic range. According to the company, this can help retain highlight and shadow details more effectively in both photos and videos.
Support for 4K 240fps and 4K 120fps HDR video
At least the Pro models in the X500 series are expected to support 4K 240fps and 4K 120fps HDR video recording. In addition, the phones could offer 10-bit 4:2:2 encoding and hardware-level 4K 120fps 10-bit Log video recording.
Vivo has also revealed integration with the ACES colour system. This could provide professional video shooters with better options for colour grading and post-production.
Imaging co-processor to be developed on a 2nm platform
The Vivo X500 series will also feature a custom imaging co-processor. It has been developed in collaboration with MediaTek using an advanced 2nm platform.
Its job will be to power real-time Log video processing. This could help improve processing and image quality while recording high-quality videos.
X500 Pro Max will feature CIPA 7.0 stabilisation
Vivo has consistently focused on camera stabilisation in its X series. With the X500 Pro Max, the company has further upgraded OIS and revealed a CIPA 7.0 stabilisation system.
The system is said to include a 3-degree wide-angle gimbal stabilisation system. This could help reduce camera shake while recording videos on the move or in low-light conditions. The phone will also feature VCS 4.0 and V3+ Imaging Architecture, which will help improve noise reduction, low-light clarity, and scene processing.
AI Photography Assistant will also be available
The Vivo X500 series is also expected to introduce a new AI Photography Assistant. This feature will provide users with real-time suggestions while taking photos.
The AI assistant could suggest poses, shot framing, and colour adjustments based on different scenes. This could benefit users who want help creating professional-looking photos and videos using their smartphones.
X500 Pro Max will feature a 144Hz 2K AMOLED display
Vivo has already confirmed that the Vivo X500 Pro Max will feature a 6.85-inch 2K AMOLED display. The panel will use BOE’s Q11 luminescent material.
The display will offer a 144Hz refresh rate. According to the company, the panel can deliver twice the lifespan of displays used on previous Vivo flagship phones and will be around 21 percent more battery-efficient.
Series will come with OriginOS 7
The Vivo X500 series will come with the company’s new OriginOS 7 out of the box. OriginOS 7 is scheduled to be unveiled at the Vivo Developer Conference, or VDC, on September 16.
India launch could take place in October
The China launch of the Vivo X500 Series is confirmed for September 21. According to the information available, the series could arrive in India in October.
However, Vivo’s official announcement regarding the India launch date, pricing, and availability of individual models is still awaited.
What will be the price of the Vivo X500 Series ?
The official price of the Vivo X500 series has not been revealed yet. The series is expected to launch in the premium flagship segment.
