WhatsApp New Features : WhatsApp has begun rolling out a new update for iPhone users, introducing a dedicated Drafts feature and a redesigned chat filter system aimed at making conversations easier to organize and manage.
The update, currently available to select users on WhatsApp for iOS version 26.21.74, brings several interface improvements designed to reduce clutter and help users quickly find important chats.
Cleaner Chat Filters for Better Navigation
One of the key changes in the latest update is the redesign of chat filters. Previously, filters such as Unread, Favorites, Groups, Communities, and custom-created lists appeared in a horizontal row at the top of the Chats tab.
As users added more custom lists, navigating through the filters became less convenient. With the new update, WhatsApp allows users to keep frequently used filters visible while moving less-used filters into a dedicated menu, creating a cleaner and more organized interface.
Users Get More Customization Options
The update also gives users greater control over how chat filters are displayed. Certain default filters that are rarely used can now be hidden from the main view and restored whenever needed.
This added flexibility allows users to personalize the Chats tab according to their preferences and daily messaging habits.
What Is the New Drafts Feature ?
The biggest highlight of the update is the introduction of a dedicated Drafts category.
The new filter automatically collects chats that contain unfinished or unsent messages, making it easier for users to return to conversations they started but never completed. Previously, WhatsApp only displayed a small “Draft” indicator next to such chats. Now, users can access all unfinished conversations from one dedicated section.
The feature is expected to be especially useful for people who manage multiple personal and professional conversations and often leave messages unfinished before returning to them later.
