What to Check Before Buying a Laptop Under ₹40,000
Before spending your money, compare the specifications carefully instead of choosing a laptop based only on its brand or advertised price.
1. Processor: Intel Core i3 and AMD Ryzen 3 processors can be suitable for many everyday tasks. If you plan to run demanding software, check performance benchmarks and software requirements.
2. RAM: 8GB RAM is generally adequate for basic productivity, browsing, and online classes. If your workload involves heavy multitasking, consider a model with 16GB RAM or upgrade options.
3. SSD storage: A 512GB SSD offers a useful balance between storage capacity and performance for documents, applications, photos, and other files.
4. Display and portability: A Full HD display can provide a comfortable viewing experience for reading and working with documents. If you travel frequently, consider the laptop’s weight and battery life.
5. Warranty and software: Check the manufacturer’s warranty, Windows licensing, and whether Microsoft Office is included. Not every model comes with the same software bundle.
6. Compare prices: Online and offline prices may differ. Check the exact model number, specifications, warranty, and return policy before placing an order.
Which Laptop Should You Choose ?
Your ideal laptop depends on how you plan to use it.
- For students: Consider the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 or Acer Aspire Lite.
- For office work: Compare the Dell Inspiron 15 and Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3.
- For everyday productivity: The ASUS Vivobook 15 and Vivobook Go 15 are worth exploring.
