IBN24 NEWS NETWORK : The upcoming device has attracted attention after appearing in a Chinese certification database. Although Oppo has not officially confirmed the product, the listing suggests that the company is exploring a new level of battery capacity for its smartphones. A battery of this size could make the device particularly interesting for people who spend long hours travelling, playing games, watching videos or using their phones for work.
12,000mAh Battery Could Be Its Biggest Attraction
The most interesting detail about Oppo’s upcoming smartphone is its reported battery capacity. According to the available listing, the battery has a rated capacity of 11,640mAh, while its typical capacity could reach approximately 12,000mAh.
The device is also expected to support 5G connectivity. However, its processor, display specifications, camera setup and charging technology have not yet been revealed. A 12,000mAh battery would be considerably larger than the batteries found in most mainstream smartphones. Nevertheless, actual battery backup will depend on factors such as the processor, display, software optimisation and power consumption.
Oppo Is Already Experimenting With Huge Batteries
Oppo’s reported plans are not entirely surprising. The company has already introduced the A7 Pro Max in selected international markets with a 10,000mAh battery. The smartphone supports 80W wired fast charging, which is an important feature considering its large battery size.
Its base configuration includes 6GB RAM and 256GB storage, with a reported starting price of 599 euros (approximately Rs. 61,000). Under the hood, the device features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor and Adreno 629 GPU. It also offers up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. If Oppo’s newly spotted smartphone becomes official, it could take the company’s large-battery smartphone strategy a step further.
What Does Oppo A7 Pro Max Offer in Terms of Display ?
Apart from its battery, the Oppo A7 Pro Max also features a large AMOLED screen. The device comes with a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display offering a resolution of 1,272 × 2,772 pixels. It supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, which helps deliver smoother visuals during everyday use.
Other display features include a touch sampling rate of up to 330Hz and peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits in HBM mode. These specifications make the A7 Pro Max an interesting option for users who enjoy watching videos, browsing content and playing mobile games.
Launch Date and Price : What We Know So Far
Oppo has not announced when its rumoured 12,000mAh smartphone will arrive. Its official name and expected price are also unknown.
The certification listing provides an early indication of the device’s development, but it does not confirm when the smartphone will become available for purchase.
Another important question is how Oppo will manage the size and weight of a smartphone with such a large battery. Charging speed will also be a key factor in determining its overall appeal.
For now, smartphone enthusiasts will have to wait for an official announcement. If Oppo manages to combine a 12,000mAh battery with a practical design and fast charging, the device could attract considerable attention in the smartphone market.
